Les emballés – Grégory, Machine Operator at Naturalvi

Welcome to the seventh episode of our interview series, “Les emballés”! Throughout the episodes, we take you to meet the people who contribute every day to the success of our company: distributors, producers, employees, as well as all our valued partners.

Episode of the Day

Today, let’s meet Grégory, Machine Operator at Naturalvi.

Interview

Naturalvi: Hello Grégory. Can you tell us about your background and what led you to join Naturalvi?

Grégory: I completed a BTS in Electrotechnics through a work-study program, where I did troubleshooting all over France. After two years, an opportunity arose at Naturalvi, which allowed me to be home every day and to join a local and committed company.

Naturalvi: As a Machine Operator, what does a typical day look like for you at Naturalvi?

Grégory: My day starts with a briefing with the previous team to ensure continuity. Then, I check the production schedule and organize everything needed to ensure smooth production during my shift: setting up the rolls, molds, etc.

Naturalvi: What skills or qualities do you think are essential for performing your job on a daily basis?

Grégory: You need to be patient, determined, and motivated. You also need to be versatile, because problems can arise at any time and you need to know how to solve them quickly.

Naturalvi: Is there any aspect of your job that you particularly enjoy?

Grégory: What I enjoy is taking on challenges: finding solutions for new productions, optimizing existing processes… It’s really motivating.

Grégory, on the left

Naturalvi: You work directly on the production of paper trays. What does it mean to you to produce such an environmentally committed packaging?

Grégory: It’s a good thing, because there is already too much plastic waste in the world that isn’t recycled. On our scale, we contribute to reducing that thanks to the packaging we produce.

Naturalvi: Do you have a memorable experience or an anecdote to share about your time at Naturalvi?

Grégory: What impacted me the most was the purchase of the new production site. Seeing the company grow and plan for the future is a true symbol of the importance of our work.

Naturalvi: If you look ahead a few years, how do you envision the next steps in your career at Naturalvi?

Grégory: If all goes well, I would like to progress and become Workshop Manager. But we’ll see what the future holds!

Naturalvi: And finally, what would you say to someone who is hesitating to join Naturalvi?

Grégory: Like in any job, there are tougher moments. But with a good atmosphere and a close-knit team, even difficult times become easier to handle.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Grégory for sharing his experience with us.

See you soon for the next episode of “Les emballés.” And if you want to reread the previous episode, it’s right here!
